Prior to Your First Visit

To complete your exam, X-Rays are needed.  We can take them,  you can bring them, or you can have your previous dentist mail them to us.  By mail, contact your previous dentist, and request that the X-rays be mailed to:

If they would like to email the X-rays, have the previous dentist call us at 630-393-4600 to make arrangements. If you are not comfortable contacting your previous dentist, call us at 630-393-4600 and if you provide the name and phone number of your previous dentist, we can make arrangements for transfer of X-Rays.

At your First Visit

Please arrive 10 minutes early so that we can process your information.

Normal Checkup

At your checkup, we want to prevent problems from occurring. During the exam, we

• Review your health history and patient information
• Check for oral cancer
• Screen for periodontal problems
• Clean your teeth
• Floss your teeth
• Educate you on flossing and brushing techniques

Emergency First Visit

If the first visit is an emergency, we will

• Take a medical history
• Do an exam, focusing on the area of concern
• Take X-Rays targetted to the problem area
• Treat the problem or refer to a specialist, depending on the situation
